There are nearly 20,000 mods for Results: New Vegas, offering everything from little tweaks and aesthetic changes to extra missions and new character types to substantial overhauls of the sport's internal workings. This isn't a cure-all: it only tries to fix crashes related to access violation exceptions at specific offsets / addresses. NVAC (short for New Vegas Anti Crash) is an NVSE plugin that implements structured exception handling and sanity checking to reduce frequency of game crashes. Still more puzzling is the fact that Fallout 3, which works essentially the same way, has no problem running. It's not a fullscreen issue, as it persists even in windowed mode. I've been running mods, but removing them, reinstalling the game, nothing helps.
